Announcements

Several of you have asked for the homework that Pat asked us to do following Friday’s panel. Here it is:

On Wednesday 24th at 7pm please join us on Zoom to watch together the Rev Dr William Barber’s sermon preached in National Cathedral on June 14 and for a discussion afterward. This is a follow-up to the virtual Poor People’s March on Washington and will continue to deepen our thinking about the inequality in American society. If you don’t want to join in the discussion but would like to watch the sermon on your own, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eviTAayTGT4

Coming Soon: Starting on Tuesday July 7, there will be an opportunity to read and discuss the book “The Untethered Soul; the journey beyond yourself”https://www.amazon.com/Untethered-Soul-Journey-Beyond-Yourself/dp/1572245379 by Michael A. Singer. This is not an explicitly Christian book but rather an exploration of consciousness. One reviewer says, “Psalm 42:8 says, ‘Deep calls unto deep.’ Within each human soul there is a longing for more, and the thirst can be quenched only by God. In The Untethered Soul, Michael A. Singer helps the modern person who is seeking this experience to come to a better understanding of the action in their soul. I highly recommend this reflection of one soul to another on the journey.” Another says, “The Untethered Soul is a brilliant treatment of the path of spiritual consciousness. It is clearly and powerfully written. Michael A. Singer provides a firm step for those on a spiritual journey.”

On July 2, we will be serving our neighbors in Los Osos with a July 4 themed dinner.  Please contact Maureen Titus by phone at 805-441-7262 or by email at naseema6@sbcglobal.net.

If you would like someone from the healing team to pray with you by phone, Jill Denton is available this week. (805) 704-1364
