Judy Gilbert, a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, will briefly share April 30 at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services about starting a Stephen Ministry training program at St. Benedict’s and other parishes in the deanery.
Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to provide high-quality Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually cares for one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Stephen Ministers also meet twice a month with their Stepehen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.
Judy Gilbert will be available after both services to answer questions.
